Cooperative Preschools in Our Community

Open enrollment: contact the preschool of your choice for enrollment information or to tour one of the facilities affiliated with Edmonds Community College.

Involvement in a Parent Education Co-op Preschool is also available for parents of two- to five-year-olds at any of the above community co-op preschools. Coop preschools start in September and end in May. Depending on the age of your child, classes vary in time and length. Usually, four-year-olds attend in the afternoon while two- and three-year-olds attend in the morning from two to four days each week.

Teachers provide age appropriate experiences for the children and opportunities for parents to support their child's growing needs through planned classroom activities. Our program is designed to benefit both you and your child. A typical class includes parent-supervised activities, such as music, snack and active times.

Each preschool has a required evening meeting once per month. Co-op members discuss preschool business, classroom curricula and meet with the college instructor. These discussions include topics such as child development, family health, classroom issues and subjects generated by parents.
